Creep was written by Radiohead front man Thom Yorke while he was a student at Exeter University, apparently after a girl that watched them playing at a gig. According to Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood Thom started following her around campus for a while, and this song is pretty much written about the girl - lyrics such as "you're just like an angel" and "I wish I was special" are presumably about this girls beauty and how Thom wished she thought he was special.
